Her academic work focuses on the challenges posed by new forms of digital gender-based violence\u2014particularly in the context of artificial intelligence. Since 2021, she has been pursuing her doctorate at the University of W\u00fcrzburg, researching image-based sexualized violence, specifically non-consensual sexualized deepfakes.<br>With an intersectional approach, Sittig combines academic research with practical experience, teaching, and social engagement. After studying law in W\u00fcrzburg and Bristol (England), Sittig worked as a research assistant at the University of W\u00fcrzburg and at a law firm specializing in IT and commercial law. Since 2024, she has taught in the LL.M. program in Digitalization and Law at the University of W\u00fcrzburg. She is also completing her legal traineeship at the Higher Regional Court of Bamberg, with placements in W\u00fcrzburg, Frankfurt am Main, and Berlin.
