From October 1st to 5th, 2019, the Karin and Walter Blüchert Memorial Foundation held its "Experience Bearers" project for the first time. Together with numerous partners from the business and social sectors, as well as many volunteers, the foundation dedicated this week to the issue of loneliness in old age, as an estimated 200,000 people over 65 live in Hamburg and are affected by loneliness. During the week, which began with World Older Persons Day on October 1st, 2019, the foundation showcased local and citywide resources available to these individuals, highlighting the diverse range of services already offered by numerous associations and institutions.
But educational institutions and businesses also opened their doors and offered taster courses or showcased their work.
The following categories were included in the program: "Technology, Digitalization and IT", "Culture and Nature", "Vitality, Exercise and Health" and "Other/Discoveries". Further information can be found at: www.erfahrungstraeger.de
