Misogyny (hatred of women) glossary

The term refers to the devaluation, hostility, or hatred towards women and girls because of their gender. Misogyny can manifest itself in language, behavior, discrimination, harassment, or violence. It can originate from individuals, but can also be visible in societal perceptions or structures.
