On May 20, 2018, the first DOCK2018 – A Day Without Worries – took place at the Hamburg Cruise Center HafenCity. The day-long event was designed for people of all ages in need and invited them to spend a carefree day together. In addition to providing basic necessities, including for their four-legged companions, the program was tailored to the individual needs of the guests and was designed to offer a pleasant atmosphere for relaxation and enjoyment, as well as the opportunity to take advantage of the diverse entertainment program.
More than 2,500 guests accepted the invitation: They spoke of their everyday struggles – many of them are homeless – and how much they appreciated the event as a safe haven. Due to the overwhelming success of DOCK2018, the Karin and Walter Blüchert Memorial Foundation will once again host a day without worries in 2019 – because every person counts!
