Under bright sunshine and summery temperatures, a very special place was created once again at the Baakenhöft Cruise Center over the Pentecost weekend. A place where people can find support, take a breather, and are simply welcome.
Around 3,000 guests visited DOCK – Days Without Worries. Together with approximately 150 volunteers and numerous associations, initiatives, companies, and partner organizations, we were able to provide supplies, advice, medical assistance, clothing, hygiene products, and many other services.
At the same time, DOCK was also a place for meeting, relaxation, and community. Our guests could rest, enjoy good food, have conversations, sit together listening to music, and simply leave everyday life behind for a few hours.
The diverse children's and fun program with bouncy castle, cotton candy, popcorn, creative activities and many other events was also particularly enjoyable and brought smiles to everyone's faces.
Many people showed us again this weekend that DOCK is far more than just a support service. It's a temporary safe space. A place to arrive, feel comfortable, and recharge.
We are still moved by the many encounters, the special atmosphere and the commitment of all the people who made this weekend possible.
Thanks to everyone who was there!
And the good news at the end: The date for the next DOCK – Days Without Worries has already been set. We are already looking forward to DOCK 2027, which will once again take place at the Cruise Center Baakenhöft on May 22nd and 23rd, 2027.
Because every person counts.
