In November 2021, the Karin and Walter Blüchert Memorial Foundation hosted its fourth forum on the topic of "Everyday Violence." The focus was on discrimination, specifically addressing the following issues: poverty, age, people with disabilities, discrimination based on physical appearance, discrimination against women, LGBTQIA+ individuals, religious and institutional discrimination, and racism. Due to the diverse forms discrimination takes in everyday life, the program was extended to three days this year to allow sufficient time for each topic to be explored.
A diverse program of lectures, panel discussions, and readings was presented by experts and individuals who are or have been affected by violence. Direct online counseling was also available, and emergency counseling was on hand for urgent matters.
