During the pandemic, there is a lack of safe spaces for day and night. Homeless people also have no place to retreat to if they need to seek safety. A large number of motivated individuals and organizations working with the homeless in Hamburg refused to simply accept this situation.
Numerous privately funded hotel accommodations were established for homeless people. Society rallied together during this difficult time, reorganizing and reinventing itself. Since the beginning of 2020, we have been able to support various projects that have provided hundreds of people with safe haven.
